Entrando en el bosque de la finca en Dobrava pri Škocjanu, Eslovenia encontramos unos escalones de grava que nos animan a rodear majestuosos árboles mientras descubrimos una casa que parece muy cerrada, con grandes muros de tierra de un tono amarillo-marrón, el muro más largo con dos perforaciones horizontales a diferentes alturas nos dejan ver un poco el interior e insinúan una casa permeable a su contexto. Al llegar nos recibe un porche (1) que nos invita a entrar, en el momento en que abrimos la puerta y entramos al recibidor (2) miramos hacia arriba para sorprendernos con el marco a un gran roble; Seguimos entrando y encontramos una planta baja donde la vida se despliega en un espacio central libre, donde destaca un volumen flotante que forma el lugar más íntimo de la casa; es como un hogar dentro de un hogar.

Entering the forest of the farm in Dobrava pri Škocjanu, Slovenia we find some gravel steps that encourage us to surround majestic trees while we discover a house that seems to be very closed, with large earth walls of a yellow-brown tone, the longest wall with two horizontal perforations at different heights they let us see the interior a bit and hint at a permeable house to its context. Upon arrival we are received by a porch (1) that invites us to enter, the moment we open the door and enter the hall (2) we look up to be surprised with the frame to a large oak; We continue entering and find a ground level where life unfolds in a free central space, where a floating volume stands out that forms the most intimate place of the house; it is like a home within a home.

En el lado norte encontramos la cocina (3) y en ella una estufa de leña hecha con tierra apisonada junto a una ventana que nos introduce al bosque. Contiguo a éste encontramos el baño (4) con una ventana superior que nos permite una mirada diferente al bosque, exaltando el hermoso follaje de la vegetación nativa. Se acercaba la tarde, entonces encendemos la estufa de leña para preparar un Žganci, luego bajamos la mesa plegable de la pared que sirve de comedor (5), nos sentamos y observamos cómo las paredes enmarcan partes específicas del bosque, haciendo que esta zona sea una extensión de la misma para poder disfrutar y vivir en la naturaleza. Terminamos de comer y nos dirigimos al nicho (6), un espacio cómodo con una ventana donde podemos descansar mientras contemplamos la puesta de sol sobre la extensa pradera vecina, debajo de este espacio descubrimos un sofá que conforma la sala de estar (7) y que podemos disponer en cualquier lugar de la casa, haciendo que el nivel del suelo sea mucho más flexible y dinámico.

On the north side we find the kitchen (3) and in it a wood stove made with rammed earth next to a window that introduces us to the forest. Adjoining this we find the bathroom (4) with an upper window that allows us a different look at the forest, exalting the beautiful foliage of the native vegetation. The afternoon was approaching, so we turn on the wood stove to prepare a Žganci, then we lowered the folding table from the wall that serves as a dining room (5), we sat down and observed how the walls frame specific parts of the forest, making this area is an extension of it to be able to enjoy and live in nature. We finished eating and went to the niche (6), a comfortable space with a window where we can rest while we watch the sunset over the extensive meadow neighbor, under this space we discover a couch that makes up the living room (7) and that we can arrange anywhere in the house, making the ground level much more flexible and dynamic.

A última hora de la tarde, salimos al kre (8), donde nos protegían grandes robles y carpes y el calor del fuego de leña; salimos a dar un pequeño paseo por el bosque, al regresar colocamos el sofá frente a la estufa de leña mientras recordamos algunas historias y sentimos el calor que irradia la estufa.

It was late afternoon, so we went out to the kre (8), where we were protected by large oaks and hornbeam and the warmth of the wood fire; we went out for a short walk through the forest, when we returned we placed the couch in front of the wood stove while we remembered some stories and we felt the heat that the stove radiates.

Al caer la noche subimos al dormitorio (9) y abrimos las puertas de una de las claraboyas del techo para que pudiéramos dormir contemplando el paisaje bajo el cielo nocturno. A la mañana siguiente nos despertamos con la luz del sol golpeando la pared opuesta, resaltando el color y la materialidad en la pared de tierra, que acumulaba radiación solar durante el día para liberarla por la noche.

When night fell we went up to bedroom (9) and opened the doors of one of the skylights on the roof so that we could sleep contemplating the landscape under the night sky. The next morning we woke up with sunshine hitting the opposite wall, highlighting the color and materiality on the earth wall, which accumulated solar radiation during the day to release it at night.
